• I’m totally new to this. I have a static XHTML site and i want to be able to add and update articles frequently.

    Can i use wordpress?

Can wordpress be integrated to a website that has already been developed or do we have to buld a site from scratch again?

The webhost is using Windows 2003, What do i need to tell them in order to install wordpress?

Operating System for the hosting account is – MS Windows 2003 Server.

    Thanking you in advance.
    Kenneth

  • As I see it, you have two possible routes:

    • Modify your existing (static) HTML to have a “news” page. This would involve creating a WordPress installation a a directory, say “news”. (as in “yoursite.com/news”. WP would be installed in /news).
    • Create a whole new, separate WordPress installation, as in news.yoursite.com

In both cases, you’d have to create a theme to match your current look-and-feel. If you want them to match, that is.

As to the requirements to install WP on a Windows Server, see the minimum requirements to run WordPress
