• I wish to use WordPress without any blogs, postings, replies, or other interacting capabilities at all. I am informed that this is possible, but I don’t seem to be able change “Response Page” to simply “Page” (which I want to use as one of the pages of my Site – eg. “About Us”, or “A Brief History”, etc.)
    Please help.
    Thank you.

  • All you need to do is create the pages and click on Settings>>>>> Reading and select static pages and select the front page from dropdown and leave select in post pages.

Thank you govpatel. I tried your suggestion. After creating a page (I named it “Welcome” and pasted a small welcoming message, then clicked “Save Draft”. I then clicked on “Settings” and then “Reading”, as you suggested. No problem so far. But after that, I find NO “Static Page” to select – and so I can proceed no further with your proposed solution.
I must say that (so far), I do not find this entire WordPress programme very user-friendly at all.
    Please can you advise?
    Thanks again.

You need to publish the page not save as draft you can create as many pages you want and they will fall in menu.
You can only select the you want to open as default in Settings>>>>Reading
