using wordpress as a calendar

hello,

i want to use wordpress as a calendar for future events. That means that each event would become a post, with post-date = event-date. This way the internal archive system of wordpress would nicely put all events in a proper timeline.

Problem is that wordpress doesn’t display posts with future dates.
As the name “archive” allready says: it archives posts with a past date.

is there any way to work around this?
