• Hi,
This is probably a really dumb question, but I was wondering… Since sytems like MT and WP and Antville, etc. all use different table structures/names, would it be possible to install them all to use the same SQL databse? I mean, it would be one crazy databse, but if none of the tables intrfere with one another, wouldn’t it be possible?
    Thanks,
    Tim

  • I have no problem doing just that. You really shouldn’t have to worry! 🙂

If you aren’t going to share the data what possible reason is there to jam them all together?

some people, like me only get one DB from their host. It’s no biggie, as long as each installation has thier own table prefix code, you should be OK.

Yep, my new host does this… As opposed to my old which gave me 10 DBs!
Anyway, I could purchase more DBs, but I’d rather stick with one if I can.
    Thanks!

Yup… works just fine. I’ve got my old MT db, my new WP db, and also a b2evo db (I’m just experimenting, honest!) all jammed into one… 😛
