• I am using an SVN copy of WordPress (2.1-alpha3-r4185) and realize that may be my problem….

Anyway, I want to (and do) use the “more” quicktag. However, I also want to get “full text” for my RSS feed — yes, I have checked “Full Text” on the Reading tab of the Options pane….

What I get in the feed is “(more)” in the same place that I used the “more” quicktag in the post…and I don’t get the full post.

When I go into “wp-rss2.php”, I see that it uses “the_content()” rather than “the_content_rss()”. By itself, that choice is fine, but since the feed includes more than one post (and is not a permalink page), the “more” quicktag included in the function “the_content()” is still active.

What file can I edit (and how do I edit it) to cause the “more” quicktag in the function “the_content()” to be ignored in single posts, permalink posts AND in feeds?

    The site: http://jerrychacon.com
    The feed: http://jerrychacon.com/?feed=rss2

Note that in all my research on this I found (and have started using) “Better Feed” by Ozh, but have set the “split” function to “0”….so the problem existing in the absence of this plugin continues to shine through in its presence. Yes, in fact, I am trying to do the OPPOSITE of what Ozh is offering in the “split” function in the Better Feed plugin.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.
