I am using the about page for my “splash” so to speak but it seems the only way to access posts is one at a time from the left sidebar. In think-of-me-as-stupid English, can someone tell me how to make my posts be on 1 page, like they would be if I was using posts for my entry page, so that folks don’t have to click on ’em one at a time? Thanks so much.

Create another static Page, only this time with no content. Call it “blog” or “posts” or something.

Then, on the Options page where you set the static front page up in the first place, set that other page to contain your Posts. Then your Posts will appear there, on that page’s URL.

    THANK YOU!

now, after doing that, can I LIMIT the posts returned to JUST those from category 1?

    Where?
