I've activated a couple of plugins, WP-print and Clean-Contact, but I don't know what to do next. How do you get them to work? I want a print option on each page and also a contact form on my contacts page. I've spent ages trying to figure this out! I'm using the Canvas theme from woothemes.

That depends on the plugins. Some add some feature to the menus (which can theoretically be anywhere, a new item, a new option under "settings", etc.) where you have to make settings in order to get them to work. Usually the instructions are handy:
You Need To Re-Generate The Permalink (WP-Admin -> Settings -> Permalinks -> Save Changes
for WP-print for example.
