Using Own Logo? (12 posts)

    Hello,

I am pretty new to all this - my blog is up and running and linked to my website (www.renyoga.com/blog/)...

...At present I am using this theme:

ORIENTAL: Created by pure-essence.net. Oriental, plum, bamboo, pine, flower, foliage, orange, red theme. Now compatible with wordpress 2.7.

    Question:

Can I integrate my logo into the appearance / design of this theme? Or am I forever wedded to the template as it is?

Thanks ahead of time for your guidance,

    Satyam

Yes, there are several ways you could do it, but maybe the simplest would be to incorporate it into the existing background image. It's called orientalBk.jpg in your theme...you can see it at the link below:

OK I saw that template image...

Now is the idea that I upload my logo into that same folder??

No, the idea is that you edit that image and add your logo to it. Upload your logo somewhere and post a link to it and I'll see if I can throw something together for you.

OK, Here's a link to the EPS file

(note: I would just like to use the upper design elements, not the phone # and web address, you will see what I mean what you get the file.)

I so much appreciate your help!

Here is a little bit of playing around.

    http://educhalk.org/blog5/

The header is too tall with the text above the image and below the image...I tried to bring the bottom text up into the image, but it still looks out of proportion. If you make the image a little shorter (maybe 200 or 250px) and a little wider (maybe 850 or 900px), then it may look a lot better.

Nice work - I definitely appreciate your efforts.

I see what you mean about the image being too tall etc.

What about this - See how my header appears on my main website

    http://www.renyoga.com/

(FYI: My blog is one menu item of that site)

Do you think we can replicate the header design of my main website on the blog header. I.e. Renaissance Yoga & Bird (top center) / Journey to Renewal (top right) / picture part of logo on (top left)?

If that is not possible, what about just the banner - Renaissance Yoga & Bird (top) center?

    Let me know your thoughts...

p.s. I sure hope you live near me so you can come to thousands of free yoga classes :-)

One more thing - if you feel you have done what you can do with it and do not wish to pursue it further - I understand. No problem there.

I do appreciate how you have opened a window of discovery for me.

    Respectfully,
    Satyam

    Okay, a little better now.

    http://educhalk.org/blog5/

You should still have room to add the blog name and even put "Journey to Renewal" as the tag line if you want.

If you like it, just right click and download it from the link below and replace that file in your theme with this one.
