    Is there a setting or hack to get the cached images to be used as the featured images for each post?

    By now, you should hack the get_featured_image() function.

    I have plan to fix this in a near future.

    @nousphere

    I'm working on a theme that actually need this functionality but I think this should be fixed in the theme not in wp-o-matic.

    atleast have the option for the image to attach themselves in the post, right now its cumbersome if you have 10 or more posts

    just to add, this shouldn't be mark as resolved.

    If you don't attach the image to the post, there is no way for you to access it via theme or via hack, you have to attached it manually first.

    I'm hunting for this solution as well. Have been for months.

    From what I've gathered so far, the cached image url will have to be injected into the post's creation table row in the WPDB.

    Anyone savvy enough for that kind of branch? Please don't make me hire an elancer to do it... months of back and forth is too painful...

    Hi all,
    Try this plugin. It takes the first image in the post and makes it a featured image.
