Using Excerpts On The Main Page Instead Of Full Articles In German Newspaper

    I’m using German Newspaper as a theme. Is there any way to have it use the excerpts on the main page (with a “click for more” link) rather than the full blog posts? Thanks in advance.

    A couple of suggestions!

    1. You can do this in the editor, on the menu there is an icon for the more link, just insert this in each post, where you want the excerpt, it will add the more tag <!--more--> in the posts html.

    2. You can do this in the editor, top right of the editor page you will see [Screen Options], click this and a set of checkboxes will drop down, check the one for excerpt, enter a custom excerpt into the new excerpt box below the main editor.

    These might be a little more work, but they give the Author the ability to insert the more link at the end of a sentence or paragraph, much more tidy for a Magazine theme than say twenty words.
