Using CSS with Contact Form 7 to Database Extension

My question. I am struggling with CSS and don’t seem to be able to get it “injected” correctly. What I want is a larger font and the alternating rows an alternating background color. Are there any examples I can follow somewhere getting lost with the { /* add your style here */ } part of all this.
