I am using the "Painted Desert" theme, modified considerably. I tried to add a border-left effect to my alternating comments (see below). When I did, each comment was placed one step to the left so that it looked like this:

Has anyone ever seen this? As soon as I pulled out the border-left from my stylesheet, it was restored - everything lined back up - but I'm curious now if anyone knows what causes the shift to the left - and how to fix it so I can have border-left back.
