Support » Plugin: BackWPup - WordPress Backup Plugin » BackWPup – Using behind .htaccess security

  • Does anyone know of a way to get this plugin to work behind .htaccess security? The plugin stopped working behind the security a couple updates ago. Though with the older versions the automatic scheduling didn’t work, I could still manually run the backup. For some reason I’m unable to roll back to an older version.

The .htaccess is for the complete blog. I have upgraded to 2.1.2 and it says WP-Cron isn’t working, please check it. I’m going to assume that’s an issue with the .htaccess since I don’t get this message on other site without .htaccess security.

Now what happens, I get that black screen and it says a job is running while the percentage remain at 0%. It just hangs there.

I have a similar issue – though the plugin will still run manually. Running “Private! WordPress Access Control Manager” for security on two affected sites (subdomains with WP installed in folders). I believe the htaccess may have been altered at the root level as well.

you must “in the actuel backwpup version” set you auth data in the settings tab (Http Auth).

Is that just my WP username and password?

I don’t know. thats the username and password that you must enter if the Auth windows of the browser pops up.
