    Hey WordPress Team,

Thanks in advance for all that you do here.

I am building out a site that needs to have individual e-mail postings for each page.

Each page is assigned to a unique user and the content needs to populate there.

    is this possible?

    Thanks!

    Hi HubtuitAdmin,

If I understand you correctly, what you want is to allow email posts from separate users and each user's posts to go into a different page. The postie plugin is by far the easiest to set up and use plugin I've seen for submitting posts via email:

    http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/postie/

Here's a tutorial for installing and using Postie:

    http://www.webhostinghub.com/support/edu/wordpress/311-post-to-wordpress-via-email-with-postie-plugin

Then you can create a category for each user, and they can assign their emailed posts to that category by properly formatting their email subject line (this is covered in the above tutorial). By default, each category has it's own page that shows the posts assigned to that category. Simply add the Category to your sidebar to show a list of your categories in your site's sidebar.

    Hope this helps!

    Thanks Christi,

I will check this out. It may not have the secure functions that I need to be 100% accurate, but, I'll play with it.

    Merci beau coup!

    Hi HubtuitAdmin,

What secure functions do you need? You can control not only the email addresses that are allowed to post but also set up a secret email address for posts to be sent to that you do not have to give out to anyone else.

    You're very welcome!

The idea is that if, say, Robert Redford has the same posting e-mail as Oprah Winfrey and the only differentiating tool is that Robert Redford enters Robert Redford: at the beginning of his post and Oprah puts Oprah Winfrey: Oprah could post to Redford's account by typing Robert Redford:

I am envisioning it working with an individual e-mail for each and them having the ability to take a picture with their I-Phone and then e-mail it as a post to their Blog. Very much the same way that it works on .com, but with individual channels assigned to each page.

    And definitely THANKS!!!

    Hello again HubtuitAdmin,

How about adding something like the Role Scoper plugin to control which category each user can post to:

    http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/role-scoper/

Also, you might be interested in checking into BuddyPress, depending on the type of site you're creating. It might be a good fit for the type of interaction between users that you're envisioning:

    You're welcome!

Are you familiar with Press Permit? I am considering upgrading to that.

    Thanks

    Hello again HubtuitAdmin,

I'm sorry, I'm not familiar with that plugin. You might want to ask them about a demo or trial version to see if it would give you the functionality you are looking for.

    Good luck!
