Using a Child Theme – got appearance issues

Hi,

I am having a few issues with my blog I am using the Titan theme and have set up a child theme so I can edit it. The main page on it looks and works fine but when visiting one of its single page post links the buttons at the top loose their colour, the side bar shifts to below the post and there a border appears under the header. The navigation buttons also loose their colour when visiting a catgories page.

Finally, the header on the page looks different in chrome and firefox. the firefox version is very cramped

been battling with this for a few days now to no avail. Help!
