   helloo , im using wp v 2.8.4 is it worth upgradeing to 2.9.1 ? I onlly changed it last month --- also where can i get an notifcation of this ? ta

   You should see a notification in your dashboard. Btw. at least get yourself the latest 2.8 (2.8.6), since there have been security fixes since 2.8.4. 2.9 Has some new features, but is not a security update. I advise to always run the latest version or closely follow the trac to make sure to not miss security fixes.

   cheers for teh fast response buddy - i did an auto upgrade fairly easy only had to change one line of code

   Hey I also have WP 2.8.4 and am trying to upgrade to 2.9.1 but I get this error and don't know what to do:

   Warning: copy(E:\inetpub\vhosts\chadashchay.com\httpdocs/wp-admin/includes/update-core.php) [function.copy]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in E:\inetpub\vhosts\chadashchay.com\httpdocs\wp-admin\includes\class-wp-filesystem-direct.php on line 131

   Could not copy files.

   Installation Failed

   Can anyone help me?
