    Basically you need to create a new page and use shortcode [event_form] then on Settings > General > Event Submission Forms > Allow anonymous event submissions? Yes then create a "Anonymous" subscriber as describe in the option Guest Default User

    Thanks. I've done this however I can't figure out the Location bit. I would like people to be able to add a location.

    try Settings > General > General Options > Use dropdown for locations (choose No)

    Many thanks all sorted now! I don't suppose you know anything about the forums do you? I'm trying to figure out how to set it up so people need to register before they post discussions (but they can see them without being registered).
