    Hello,

I have a WP Multisite and I need Join My Site plugin to allow users to join certain sites in the network as I am building a community network where people can invite and join several areas. I am using buddypress 2.0.2 as well (all my plugins are up to date as well).

Anyways, I installed the plugin and began testing with it. I set the permission to join a site to Manual (use the widget to join) but when a signed in user simply visits the site (which they are not currently a user of) they are automatically added to the site without having to ‘Join’. I have tried setting making the membership to ‘None’ in the plugin settings but that still didn’t work as users were automatically added no matter which setting I chose.

    Any ideas why this happens?

Thanks in advance for any help.

As noted in the FAQ, I don’t support BuddyPress with this plugin at this time.

    Is this BuddyPress compatible?

As far as the BuddyPress basics go (one instance, network activated) it seems to, however it’s not supported at this time. One user reported that with BP and JMM active, they weren’t getting any emails for registration, so it’s probably best to be used as a ‘Join if you’re logged in’ thing, versus a ‘Sign up on this site’ one.
