• I just installed a fresh version of wordpress. I have done it plenty of times, but I got this error:

The requested URL /home/hosting/public_html/user.php was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Can any one help me out! I do not know what to do. Please….

  • There’s no user.php in root. Do you mean /wp-admin/users.php ?

I would love to tell you! That is all it says. Can any one help me!?

I am trying to help you, however I am not psychic. My best guess based on the limited information provided to this point, would be that the contents of the /wp-includes directory may be incomplete or corrupted. “user.php” is located in the/wp-includes directory, however there are several other variations of “user*php” files located throughout WordPress.

Perhaps you simply had an interrupted or incomplete ftp file transfer. Try uploading the wordpress files again perhaps? That would seem the first logical thing to try.

I have tried to install WordPress several times, via Fantastico, and Manually and I end up with the same problem. See: http://hebreo.bethaderech.com/

There is not a lot of information.

Can any one help me. PLEASE.

Try downloading WordPress again and delete then replace your copy of the main index.php file with a fresh one from the download.
