Username and password suddenly doesn’t work

I recently reinstalled my old version of WordPress (1.0.1) after an unsuccessful install of the latest version. My blog is up and running, but I am no longer able to log into the admin page. When I enter my old username and password and click “OK” the fields empty out and nothing happens.

Any ideas?
