   Hi, are there any plugins out there to search for users? Specifically, an Ajax search menu that drops down trie options of search terms (i.e. matching users)?

   If not, can we extend the users table to add in other relevant contact details (e.g. extension, mobile phone no, etc) without breaking the underlying functionality in registering/adding new, or updating existing, users?

   The CIMY User Extra Fields plugin is great for recording additional data about each user.

   It also provides functions to use in your templates to read the data from the database.
