Is anyone else having this problem right now (accessing the back manager of their site), too?

Is WordPress being glitchy, or is it my LoginLockdown taking effect? (I’ve had this error before without my LoginLockdown plugin, and I don’t know what’s taking effect.)

Also, would having to connect to the internet (and failing) have anything to do with this error message and activating the LoginLockdown? If LoginLockdown is involved, how do I get around it since it’s locking ME out?

  • If you can’t connect to the internet, then I’m assuming you’re not actually connecting to your live site 🙂 Possibly what you’re seeing is a local cached version? Wait until your internet is back up and then try again.

My internet is now working correctly, but I still can’t get in. I just tried it on different computers. Maybe there’s something wrong with the network? (Or a hacker? :0 Oh, I hope not.)

If you’re getting a user registration error, then maybe you’re trying to log in via a registration screen/form rather than the login screen? Try going to http://www.yourdomain.com/wp-login.php (replacing ‘yourdomain.com’ with your actual domain name and extension) and see if that works.

Success! But I still can’t get into the regular non-php one, though…

Yeah, that one. Sorry about that…my server was about to crash on me and I had to type really fast…

Are you still having problems with this? You mentioned your server was about to crash… perhaps there are some server-side issues involved here?

Yep, I’m still having problems with my server. If I go to some website or reload a page, it suddenly “can’t find the server” or “oops, link appears to be broken.” The screen would be like that for a few minutes, then get back to normal. It’s been going on for about 4-5 months now, and I still have no idea what’s causing it. It might be AVG-related, but that’s my best guess.

If you suspect AVG, I’d suggest removing it (and installing another anti-virus program so that you’re protected) to see if that makes the problem go away. Otherwise speak to your host and/or ISP.
