User posts on user pages? (5 posts)

I am sure that this has been asked and answered at least a dozen times already, and i have searched for an answer, but i might not have the correct search terms.

Anyway here is what i am wanting to know.

I have many users who all have pages, what i want to be able to do is set it up where they just log in to the admin useing there user accounts and can click post and the post be on there specific user page, not the home page or any other page except there own. I also do not want them to be able to edit or remove anything anyone else posts.

If i cannot do this with posts i would at least like to set this with the pages where they only see there page and no other.

This is for a school and many of the people are barely able to turn on computers much less keep from deleteing a wrong page.

    Thanks

In my experience, authors cant delete each others posts, so no need to worry about that.

you can make authors pages, search the codex for examples on how to make them. This will allow you to make pages that only house a specific authors posts.

You should be able to do what you want with the posts, but will need to review Author Tempates and you will probably want to revise it so your main blog page excludes posts--you could make your main page be a static page (see Administration > Options > Reading).

This is what I used <?php the_author_posts_link(); ?> more info on how to use it can be found at the author templates link michaelH posted above.
