USER NAME INVALID – PLEASE HELP

    Hi,
    I’m using a custom wordpress site. I ‘ve been trying to access my account but it says my username is invalid. I know my username is correct though. I also know the password I was trying to use is correct. I double checked the myphp admin in the hosting c panel and that confirmed that I was indeed using the correct username. In addition, I tried another username associated with the account and it said that username was invalid as well. I tried to reset the password but when I typed in the username and email , it again said I have the wrong username.

    any suggestion of what it might be?

    If there’s no other indication of something sinister (like hijacking) it could be a weird glitch in the syntax of the values in the user table of the database. In my case, someone who was familiar with the mysql syntax identified this, did a simple copy/paste to replace one wrongly expressed value, and that solved the problem.
