Sure it’s possible – especially if they use WordPress for the whole thing.
It;s not just blogging software.
The company i work for is a member based organisation and we would like to have only members able to make comments on articles in the blog. Is it possible to intergrate our existing member login/password database into the blog so that members need to login to the main site in order leave comments? If so, how?
Generally speaking, yes. It depends on what you;re using for user signups though. Can;t say for sure without knowing what you have already.
Hi Andrea, thanks a lot for the help. What would you need to know to say for sure?
Cheers
Adam

She needs to know what you have now 🙂 LDAP, some other app…?
What are you using for your “existing member login/password database”? LDAP? Something else? Drupal, Joomla, another CMS, something custom?
Apologies for seemingly clueless questions, i’m not big on the technical aspects of this. Just trying to ease concerns of those that are. Apparently: “we are using something custom at the moment, but that may change next year, as we are looking for intergration with our CRM system.”
No idea if that’s any help.
But thanks alot for the help so far!
That actually helps some 🙂 What CRM are you using?
(CRM stands for Customer Relationship Management – usually System is understood. It refers to the computer software designed to help companies keep track of and easily access information of their … customers.)
Hey guys was there any further details on this?
