User ID controlled navigation (3 posts)

I am considering leaving my current provider and starting with WordPress but I have a question first.

I need to be able to control the user Navigation based on UserID. For example I have 20 students. Based on their unique lesson plan I want to only make certain sections of my site accessable based upon their user id. That way the site and all navigation is personal to them.

My current provider (blog type site) has this functionality where I can control navigation based on "audiences". This would work but they only allow for 5. I need 20 and they are not flexible to help so I am looking for a clean solution.

Can this be done with WordPress? Let me know if I need to explain better.
    Thanks in advance!

Perhaps this is what you're looking for? (Not mine)

If your server meets the requirements for WP, you can install it in a directory side by side of your other blog to test both.
