I have a reader on my blog that has been posting for a few months with no problem, suddenly he can no longer post.

I am thinking that I may have accidentally marked one of his posts as SPAM and that blocked everything he does, but I can't figure out how to unblock him (if that's what it is).

He was posting as a non registered guest, but I had him register and still no luck.

    BTW, I am running 1.5

    Any ideas? I'm stumped.

Okay, now I have another person that can no longer post, he says he hasn't been able to post since her got his cable installed (Adelphia).

There has to be a way to unblock these people, even if I have to wipe out all of my blocked spammers, I'm willing to do this.

    Help? Ideas?

    How are they unable ?
We need to know what errors they see to diagnose the problem.

This is what I got from one of the guys:

No error message or anything. It acts just like it is going to accept my post and then it never shows up.

It seems to happen both when registered or non-registered posts

This is similar to my problem. After a new first-time install of 1.5.1.3, I do not see new posts. Even though I can create a new post in the default category as "admin", the new post does not appear on the blog site.

Using "MySQL Query Browser" to "SELECT * FROM wp_posts", I only see the original "Welcome..." post.

Following the pattern of the column entries for row #1, I added entries into row #2 for a hand-entered post. After updating the db, I returned to localhost/blog and saw the new posting displayed.

I conclude, then, that the database is not being updated when a new post is sumitted.
