   I'm testing a new install and have an issue with an admin created user. I made the role as Author but when I log in as that user there is no permission to create a new page from a link to page-new.php. In the admin are for that user only post are showing. How do I allow a user to create pages?

   WordPress sets certain permissions for each user group by default which cannot be changed, you can make the user as editor to allow him to create new pages.

   Thanks for the reply. I created a user as editor and saw no way to set permissions for authors. I found a great plugin called Capability Manager. Does exactly what I need.
