User-Agent: 404 errors, my site the Referrer?

    I like to go through 404 errors to check for problems. I see a lot of errors for “User-Agent:” from a variety of IPs where my site is the referrer. I am lost on this. I’ve tried Googling without success.

    What is the problem here? Is this something wrong at my site or is this just hacking?

    Do you have broken links on your site – or missing images?

    Thanks for responding.

    No, the site seems to be OK. No broken images or missing links that I can see. That is not to say there aren’t any broken images or links, but none that I can see.
