I own a few domain names that I would like to keep hosting on my netfirms account. However, netfirms' support of wordpress is terrible and I am tired of downloading plugins! Does anyone know if it is possible to manage a blog through wp.com but run it on your own website?

Don't believe you can do that but you can ask them over at the WordPress.com forums: http://wordpress.com/forums/

you can load different domains inside iframes, so yes you could do it, but its realllly not a cool thing to do. Its similar to cloaking, frowned upon, and most browsers will pop up with errors when its 'caught'. Ive not even checked in ff if its a security setting, but disabling 'it' has been a standard security option in ie for a while now.

You cant 'forward' any domain that you dont have control over to another domain, either. Thats the perk of ownership, and the net would be chaos if we could all do that.

I use Grouper and Carp from Geckotribe.com to publish blog entries just about anywhere you want, as long as you can run PHP. It uses the RSS feeds coming from your favorite blog engine.

See it at work on http://www.sitecreations.com - the homepage entries are brought over from a blog RSS feed and re-published through GeckoTribe's stuff.

ahh thats another idea, syndicating the feed off a wordpress.com blog. Much better than cross-loading a domain, thats for sure.
