   Hi,
   I want to use the AutoP-function for an own project also under the GPL licence. So is it legal to copy it and make a note at the start of the file which says that the function is written by WordPress?

   And you have to keep the GPL license intact and include it in your project. The rest of the project doesn't have to be GPL, but if it all relies on this code, I would grab a lawyer (if this is for business) and double check.

   It's just a plugin for another CMS. Because I want to keep this function alive if I switch my files from WordPress to it.
