It looks like WordPress isn’t redirecting the ?tag=fullurl url to the full url. This might be a bug with WP core, or intended behavior specifically for the tag taxonomy. On my test site, it looks like it’s pulling in the correct URL, and just not redirecting for some reason. It does work when displaying as a list. I’ll see if I can find a solution…
Hi Nick,
I do have the same problem. With the list it works fine, with the drop-down it refers to the wrong site:
With list:
http://foodfreaks.ch/?portfolio-category=kraeuter
With drop-down:
http://foodfreaks.ch/?portfolio-category=http%3A%2F%2Ffoodfreaks.ch%2F%3Fportfolio-category%3Dkraueter
For testing please use http://www.foodfreaks.ch/special_access first.
Thanks
Christian
I think I’m just going to remove the post_tag taxonomy option, since it’s outside the scope of this plugin (custom taxonomies) anyway.
If there is interest in a tag widget with all of the UI features provided by LCTW, I could certainly fork it and create that (I would probably make it something like “Advanced Tag Widget”). Let me know if that would be useful.

Same issue here as Nick:
With list:
http://foodfreaks.ch/?portfolio-category=kraeuter
With drop-down:
http://foodfreaks.ch/?portfolio-category=http%3A%2F%2Ffoodfreaks.ch%2F%3Fportfolio-category%3Dkraueter
The list format works perfectly but we have too many categories and the page would be really long so the drop-down would be brilliant. Please help if you can!
Yep, that’s the function that this plugin uses. It just has some issues when it’s used in a flexible implementation like this one that I need to resolve. Or, I might just remove the part that’s causing issues and out-of-scope for this plugin (the post_tag option).
