Use plugin to edit existing dashboard options

    I was wondering how I could go about writing a plugin that will simply add options to an existing dashboard page?

    I’ve searched the codex and can’t seem to find anything similar to what I want.

    Let’s say I want to add an option for:

    rel = ex-girlfriend

    to the edit-link-form.php page in the dashboard…

    I already know how to do it manually by editing that file, but have no clue how to do it with a plugin.

    Any ideas?
