• Hi all,

I have some software that I would like to sell to people. I want it to run on their computer, but I want them to pay a monthly fee to be able to use it, and I want the software to check my website to make sure that the user has paid.

It has been a real headache trying to get PayPal set up so that I can have someone go to my website, click on a “Subscribe” button, and then have PayPal update one of my MySQL databases with the last time that the person has paid.

Someone recommended that I use a WordPress plugin and this one looked popular, so I thought I’d ask about it here.

I don’t want to just protect certain pages and downloads; I want to update a MySQL database every time PayPal has received a payment from a given subscriber.

I looked through the docs and videos on this site and couldn’t find anything that matched what I’m trying to do.
