   Hi, I wonder if anybody can help me. Other q&a on the forum look close but I am not good enough to pick out the bits I need.

   Basically I have a site for our church that I built and I am pleased with. It is hosted in webspace I rent. My friend would like me to build a site for his church with all the same functions but different info.

   Is there a way to copy the whole first site in to a new subdomain, but have separate databases. I have tried simply copying the files from one to another but as I expected that didn't work.

   So basically I want a new WP install using my first site as a template.

   Any advice would be much appreciated.

   Install another copy of WP using a fresh database or the same database but a different table prefix. Upload of a copy of your existing theme to the new theme's wp-content/themes folder and install any plugins used in the first site.
