  • I want to run a site with two languages and I want to have both langauges to use there on URL.

Im using custom domain mapping plugin there i have both URLs point to the site, but one of them has to be the primary url and will always point to one of the two.

I want if people go to mydomain.com they will see the site in english and when day go to mydomain.nl the site will be dutch.

Hope some one here can point me to the right directions.

The domain mapping plugin lets you point a domain to a specific site, so… example time!

    Main install (English): mydomain.com

    Dutch Install: mydomain.com/nl – MAPPED to mydomain.nl

    French Install: mydomain.com/fr – mapped to mydomain.fr

That said, even if you install the multiple languages, it won’t magically translate your content. Nor will it reproduce the content.

This still means i have to run two separate websites, right? and i cant not use something like qTranslate and domain map the .com to the english site.

What i do right now is mydomain.com (this is my main network installation). Then there is the clients website on mydomain.com/clientsite and i use WordPress MU domain mapping to map this URL mydomain.com/clientsite to clientsite.nl and here have clientsite.nl/nl/ for the dutch site and clientsite.nl/en/ for the english site (this is what qtranslate does) but now i want the dutch site to be clientsite.nl en the english site to be clientsite.co.uk without having to mangage two websites.

I wouldn’t. I’d make a separate site for clientsite.nl all it’s own. Mostly because separating multisite makes me cry.
