Switch to a different theme to see if it shows up there.
If not, turn off your plugins and check again.
Thank you for the response. I changed theme, still no luck.
Disabled all my plugins.
I have a plugin called “VSlider” by Mr Vibe.
When I disabled that, the “Set featured image” button in the bottom right corner disappeared too, enabling it brought it back, very strange.
I uninstalled it and re-ran the upgrade to 3.3.2 to see if it changed anything, but there was no change.
I reinstalled that addin and the original problem came back.
Really not sure where to go next :/
Have you tried:
– deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
– switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.
– resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.
I have tried all the above, to no avail.
Can we see your site using Twenty Eleven with all plugins deactivated?
I cant really do that at the moment, the site is active. Is there a way around this?
No – this is basic troubleshooting and the only way we can narrow down the possible causes.
Ok, I have done this, still no “Use as featured image” button :/
I cannot reach your site at all now! I’m getting a server 404 page.
:S very strange, me too. I can get onto the admin page though.
Ok, if you go to http://www.ukspaceforum.org/index.php it will load, not sure why that is :S
Ohhhh right, i changed the “permalinks” settings a few days ago, looks like it has screwed a few things up.
FYI, the “Use as featured image” button still isn’t showing up. The site is working now though.
