kaine83I run several sites off one WP installation using subdomains, but would like to use other domain names for these sites.
I.E:
I have my WP installation at firstdomain.com
then a blog setup as blog2.firstdomain.com
I then have blog2.org registered (on the same webhost) and want to use it as the address for blog2 without the user knowing (in the address bar) that the real address is a sub of firstdomain.com
Is this possible? I know about framed forwarding - but that sacrifices the rest of the path after .org in the address bar. ultimately I want the user to see "http://blog2.org/news/atricle1" instead of "http://blog2.firstdomain.com/news/article1"
I wondered if this could be acheived with a rewrite in htaccess (similar to how MU used to do with blogs.dir) or perhaps using DNS records?
