    Hello,

thanks for this this plugin. Certainly what I wanted to have.

Is it possible to access the current avatar of a user via URL? That would be interesting, to make those avatars usable from other websites. For example a link like example.com/author/name/avatar.jpg would be awesome.

    Thanks.

  • Hi Micha, can you elaborate further what you mean by

Is it possible to access the current avatar of a user via URL?

If you go to a website and you right click on the avatar it will give you a few options. One of them depending on the browser is to view the image on a new tab or window. That will give you the full URL.

Is that what you are referring too?

    Kind regards

Hi mbrsolution, thanks for your answer. I am sorry, that I haven’t stated clear enough, what I meant.

This is not what I am referring too. I meant an URL that is always linked to the current avatar. For example to link from a different website. So if you change your avatar, the URL will show the new one.

I’ll try to explain what I’m thinking of in a step-by-step process.

    1. Upload avatar to the blog
    2. Link from a different website (see a picture of me here …)
    3. Upload a new avatar
    4. Have no need to change the URL on the linked website

    Is it now clear?

(I’m really sorry for my english. I’m german and don’t have much excercise at the moment.)

Hi Micha, thank you for your prompt reply and clarifying your question further. By the way your English sounds perfect to me :). I just did not read your question correctly.

At the present I am not aware of a way your request can be achieved without adding some more functions to the plugin. You will have to make a request for your suggestion to @bangbay Siboliban to see if she can add the extra function to the plugin in a future release.

    Kind regards

No, there isn’t a way to do that with this plugin. You could use Gravatar for that feature.
