   is it possible to have the main domain of a blog(example.com) to redirect to another site and the actual post pages(exmaple.com/post1, exmaple.com/post2, etc') to not be redirected and instead reside on wordpress ?

   With .htaccess and regex all things are possible - both natural and supernatural!

   Do a Google on...
   wordpress + redirect + apache

   There's a heap of resources out there to assist.
