• Hello,

a few days ago I uploaded my site from my local to a live server. Everything is working all right, except for the nextgen plugin. I can’t seem to figure out whats wrong.

The problem is in the urls. The thumbnails and images do not show on my page, because the urls are bad. When I click an image, it redirects to this url:

    http://http//steinerlovisa.com//?page_id=168

I have tried almost everything. Changed the url in wp_posts, searched my database for the http// (without : ) url, added the right adress to functions.php, searched the ngg database files, checked the advanced options – lightbox settings, everything seems to be right, but the images still don’t work.

    Does anyone have any idea?

    Thanks in advance!

@aartb – Migrations can cause varying issues and it appears you have tried to address them, but given the sample (bad) URL you have, can you look at your Permalink structure and make sure it is not set to the default “Standard” … try something like “Post name” and see if that helps sort out the issue.

Otherwise, please feel free to submit a Bug Report (http://www.nextgen-gallery.com/report-bug/ … please reference this topic) with your site specifics and please include log in and FTP credentials with the Bug Report, too.

    Thanks!

Thanks for your response. I changed the permalinks in wordpress settings, but it doesn’t solve the problem.

I have reported a bug on the nextgen site.

Maybe it has nothing to do with the problem but when I try to clear the images cash in gallery options I get this error:

Warning: unlink(/home/erlendr53/domains/steinerlovisa.com/public_html/wp-content/gallery/schilderijen-2010-2015/dynamic/hannah_danielle_2-nggid03135-ngg0dyn-154x100x100-00f0w010c011r110f110r010t010.jpg) [function.unlink]: Permission denied in /home/erlendr53/domains/steinerlovisa.com/public_html/wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery/products/photocrati_nextgen/modules/cache/class.cache.php on line 62

I tried changing the permissions settings of the nextgen plugin to 777, 755 and 744 but it doesn’t solve this last error. Like I said, maybe it has nothing to do with the url problem, but maybe there is a connection..

I’m having a similar problem after moving hosts.

I’m not sure if your problem is the same as mine, but I found all of the simple thumbnail galleries seem to have hard-coded absolute URLs in the blog posts. Googling around it appears this is standard practice in wordpress, so it requires a manual update of the database to swap the old domain for the new domain

    /David
