   Hi, Probabbly a really easy answer to this but I'm new to WP and it's got me stumped...

   I've created a blog with a static front page, and want to provide a link to recent posts in the sidebar... can anyone tell me the URL for the original page? or a if there is a wordpress PHP function which will return the archive page for the current month?

   When you create a static frontpage, in the same place you assign another Page as your "posts page". That's how it works.
