   This one is odd. I have a post with a rather long URL to a product on a different website. The post in question is rather old (almost 2 years ago) so I don't know what version of WP I was running at the time. At the time I had no issue with the post displaying. Currently the post content does not display unless I remove the URL to the product.

   Everything appears to be encoded properly with the URL so I'm hoping someone can shed some light on this issue.

   Try running that url through a url shortener like bit.ly and using the shortened URL as your link

   Yeah, I ended up doing that but I'm trying to understand why it's broken now and it wasn't before.

   the WP editor sometimes mangles code that's not your typical blogging code. Its just part of using WP. One learns to work around certain things.
