   Hello, I just made a site and I just downloaded WordPress from the site here, and I also bought a theme from themeforest for my wordpress website. I have no experience with FTP or Filezilla and WordPress at all, so I urgently need help here. I tried figuring it out on my own, but I just failed and couldn't do anything. I don't know what to ask exactly because I am so stuck and confused here but anyway, this is what I am wanting and trying to do.

   I want to use my theme I bought from themeforest on my wordpress, how do I do this? Something about FTP or Filezilla, I downloaded Filezilla and I entered my site name with ftp:// at the beginning and my login details and I kept getting an error, so then I tried the configuration wizard, but the test said it kept screwing up too, so I don't know what I am doing wrong there... Then, I have no idea how to upload my theme, and I think Filezilla is how I upload it, but I can't get it to work. People are saying contact the host to get my FTP details, would that be WordPress host? How can I contact them?

   Anybody got any help?

   please contact the theme seller for support with your commercial theme.

   Upload via FTP. That's the only way. You may contact your hosting provider for help or support.

   Normally you could take the theme zip file and just upload it via WordPress.

   http://your-wordpress-url-here/wp-admin/theme-install.php?tab=upload

   If that's not working then try FTP.

   Use an FTP client and upload the extracted some-theme.zip file to your wp-content/themes directory.

   And if it turns out you need help with the whole magilla (installing WordPress) that start here instead.

   I tried the first option, it says there is no such page and it takes me to my wordpress page instead of dashboard.

   Filezilla keeps saying this:

   Status:	Connection attempt failed with "ECONNREFUSED - Connection refused by server".
   Error:	Could not connect to server

   Contact your hosts to confirm your FTP login details.

   Are you using WordPress.COM? If so then you're in the wrong forum, and they don't let users upload their own themes.

    have you installed wordpress on your server (hosting)? once you do that you can log into wordpress, go to appearance> then themes > then upload your them (still in it's zip folder) and then activate it..wa-la

    Yes, I am using wordpress.com as my host, like: website.wordpress.com, etc. Can't I upload a theme at all?
