Hey all, I have a very big problem and I'm so confused!!

So I was trying to change an existing website of a club in my university, we already have a domain name and it was created on wordpress but I didn't have the username and password from the previous web developer.

Meanwhile, I created a whole new wordpress site using MAMP on my own computer without the need for a domain name. I finished it and now I got the username and password for the OLD website.
I logged on to the old website and tried to upgrade it to the latest version but it asked for Hostname, FTP/SSH Username, FTP/SSH password, and Connection Type.
My questions are: Where do I get these from?
Even when I upgrade wordpress, can I somehow use the new one I created using MAMP with the current domain?

You get them from your hosting providers, which you need to contact about this.

I did and here's what I got "srcf.ucam.org: We Can't Resolve This Domain

srcf.ucam.org doesn't appear to be a valid domain or IP address. Since we can't find the website, we are unable to tell you who is hosting srcf.ucam.org."

It is a page within a page, does that make a difference?

    Put a "www" in-front: http://www.srcf.ucam.org/

Yes, of course I did but it still changes it.
    Here's the full URL: http://www.srcf.ucam.org/arabsoc
It's a society student based server and not an independent domain

So there is no way to contact them?

Yes, I think there is a way to contact them. Should I just ask for a new SSH?

If it turns out you cannot contact your hosting providers then you're never going to get all of your FTP/SSH credentials, and so you might just have to move onto a new host.

Then you need to find out who is managing the server. As it'a s student-based service then it shouldn't be that hard to track down whcih department is in charge of it. Unfortunately in that situation there's really not a lot more that we could help with.
