    Hello,

Two websites that are hosted by you have illegal content..They reposted articles from Daily Mail website, who incorrectly captioned a picture. It wrongly captioned the victim as the defendant. It has now been changed on Daily Mail. The article needs to be removed asap. There are no contact details on either of these websites and I have posted comments five days ago which have not yet been answered. This is now a matter of urgency.

Please can you help me contact them to remove these articles as it is distressing to the family and is a serious legal issue.

Should you want to discuss this, please contact me on [redacted]

    Kind regards,

    Jayne

Not true; WordPress.ORG supports and distributes software and has nothing to do with hosting other people's blogs.

Should you want to discuss this, try contacting the actual host provider for the blog in question.

OK, how do I do this please? sorry, I must have been given wrong info. There really is no information at all on these blogs, they look automated. I'm not trying to be rude - i just need this sorted as it is a legal issue and very distressing to who is concerned! All it says at the bottom is powered by WordPress. Please help me try and locate whoever did the post so I can get it removed as soon as possible!

if the blog is at wodpress.com you can contact them here
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/

if blog is self-hosted, you need to contact the host

If the blogs are not wordpress.com, but rather self-hosted, and you can't find any contact information, really all you can do is find out what company hosts the sites using a whois search, and try contacting them

  7. Powered by WordPress means they're using the software. WordPress doesn't restrict your use of it's software (yes, that means you can use it for something illegal ... Until your local authorities arrest you).
