PLEASE HELP....
I just opened wp saw a note that I could upgrade. I could do it automatically or download and upgrade.
I did an automatic upgrade and I LOST ALL OF MY PAGES and my header.
I can put the header back in but my pages have back links.
Can I retrieve this???? Please say yes, somebody.
I do not know where to find the current version. Not sure what it is.
What version were you using before the upgrade? Did you backup your database before upgrading? Have you deactivated all plugins? Switched to the default theme?

New Problem I can not add pages.... I am in the back office but when I add a page it does not show up.

I do not know what my version was.
I do not know how to back up my database.
I have not deactivated anything nor have I switched to the default theme.
I still have my side bar and my footer in place.
In that case:
- deactivate all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
- switch to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.
- learn how to backup your database and do it regularly.

I deactivated the plugins
I switched to the default theme.
Still no data.
Please tell me there is something else I can try.
Have you lost posts & categories as well as pages? Can you contact your hosts and see if they have a recent (pre-upgrade) copy of your database?

The categories are listed in the side bar but there is no data.
I will contact my host and say a prayer on that note.
