    This is a great plugin, however uploads.zip fails to get created and I cant for the life of me figure it out.

    Error: Could not create uploads zip. Consult the log file for more information.

    It appears the uploads directory gets partially zipped then the following errors shows up in the backup log.

    0010.990 Beginning creation of dump of uploads
    0013.136 ERROR: PclZip failure: Could not create uploads zip
    0013.141 An error condition has occurred for the first time on this run

    NOTE: uploads directory in in wp-content is a SymLink (had to symlink uploads for more space on another drive), not sure if thats the culprit or not...

    lrwxrwxrwx 1 daemon daemon 23 Jan 24 01:13 uploads -> /mnt/wordpress/uploads/

    The updraft directory show's a partially create uploads.zip's. uploads directory is 8MB. and should compress down to about 520MB

    1. "uploads directory is 8MB. and should compress down to about 520MB" - did you mean 8Gb?

    2. Can you send me the entire log file? (david@wordshell.net)

    I've just made some new code to produce zips in a new, faster way. However I didn't anticipate symlinks, so I won't ask you to test that yet, since it certainly won't work.

    Try an update to this one:

    http://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/updraftplus.1.3.24.zip

    It's got completely new zip-handling methods, so something entirely different may happen...

    (Closing ticket - it was confirmed via email that 1.3.24 solved the problem).
