   Hi - I'm "upload"ing my wordpress.com blog (posts, comments, etc.) and it says that it is too big (2.8 mgs and the limit is 2 mgs)

   Help?

   Try gzip'ping the file and use that compress file when doing the import.

   If that doesn't work, you may have to break the XML file into two 'valid' pieces.

   **Valid being the correct opening and closing tags that encompass the file.

   You will have to ask your host to increase PHP setting called max_upload_size as some limit that to 2MB.

   I ended up breaking up the exporting by assigning different authors to different posts and then importing eac author seperately. Seems to have done the trick! Thanks for the idea.
