Why won't my video upload using the "Embedded Video" plugin? I've tried m4v and mov formats and its under 7 MB.
Are there any other free options for uploading a video successfully so that there is no advertising on my webpage?

The file won't upload or the uploaded video won't play? Two different things. This plugin: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/embedded-video-with-link/ is waaay out of date.
I would suggest this: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/degradable-html5-audio-and-video/
Then you just upload the video like you would any image file and follow the directions to embed. Done :)
